Art production near complete!

I can't begin to express how excited we are at Iron Age Comics to release this book - it's truly filled with gorgeous, horrifying, disturbing and beautiful images. Here's a peek at some of the work you'll get to enjoy in the nearly-complete Haunted Box #1!

Tweaked Schedule

Ok time for my first not-the-best news update: when we launched the Haunted Box and planned for a fair delivery date of the physical product to the backers in February '23, we did NOT consider what adding the "black and white and blood" stretch goal would do to the production timeline. Turns out - toning in grayscale (and adding reds for blood) takes just as long as full colors for our colorists! I made a stupid assumption it would be quick and easy - and learned a hard lesson. We are hoping the delay brings us to a physical reward delivery date in March '23! I will keep you updated as best as I can, but I can tell you our colorists are working hard now to deliver the goods! Thanks to colorists extraoirdinaire BUNNY PASIG and OMI REMALANTE for coming through in the clutch!

The Haunted Box creators A.C. Medina, Mina Elwell and Jon Santana welcome horror comic veteran Richard Clark to the Haunted Box team!  Richard will be fulfilling art chores for the much-anticipated Haunted Box tale from A.C. Medina called The Host!  Check out some of Richard's work below!

The campaign is over - now the real work begins!

Thanks again to all of you for your support in our campaign!

Here's some great news to kick off the next phase of production of The Haunted Box #1:

• Day-one physical rewards have SHIPPED to Day-One backers who have answered their surveys!
• Day-One digital rewards have been emailed to all Day-One backers whose payments have been collected by Kickstarter!
• Cover artist Jason Ulrich and colorist Bunny Pasig have completed a masterpiece of a variant cover! Here's a first look at it complete in all it's gory! (Pun intended!!) Keep in mind, if you want to add this or any other cover or reward after the campaign has ended, you can do so in the SURVEYS that will begin going out late December/Early Jan!

Final days/final Stretch Goal!

3 days left and $10k is in sight!

We're so close to the final $8k stretch goal of additional content added to the Haunted Box #1 that we have to add just ONE more stretch goal to close out the campaign! This one is a throwback to a personal favorite touch that I loved about the old-school Warren Magazine horror comics: the cut-out paper board games! I never DARED cut my precious comic book covers (but I secretly always wanted to!) so we're including this bonus feature as an INSERT! You can choose to cut it up and play the retro game without hurting your copy of The Haunted Box or keep the game in mint condition as part of your official Haunted Box collection!

Please note that our cover artist Damien Torres will be drawing the characters and locations himself, so the above image is for reference only! We're just as excited as you are to see the final product!
